John is currently an Executive Director of Grant Samuel, a leading independent investment bank. He has broad experience in the finance industry and since 1990 has been involved in providing advice to corporations in mergers, acquisitions, valuations, restructuring, financing and capital management. Prior to this he worked in engineering and construction in Australia and the UK. John is non-executive director of Minara Resources Limited and was previously a non-executive director of HFA Holdings Limited until December 2007.

 

Bruce McComish, BCA(Hons) FCA FCPA

Independent Non Executive Director

Bruce has 20 years experience in senior management roles with leading multi-national companies. His considerable boardroom expertise traverses products and services as wide-ranging as banking, food manufacture, cleaning products, forestry and mining in locations as far apart as the UK, Australia, New Zealand, US, Indonesia and Continental Europe. He is a former Chief Financial Officer of National Australia Bank, in which capacity he was responsible for group-acquisitions and investor relations. His wide-ranging experience also includes, amongst others, the posts of Financial Director at Unilever Australia Ltd, Managing Director at Lever Industrial and Executive General Manager at North Ltd. Bruce was formerly Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Burdett Buckeridge and Young (now called BBY Limited), an Australian investment bank. He holds degrees in commerce and in economics and economic history, and is a chartered accountant.

Paul Manka, MBA CFP F FIN

Independent Non Executive Director

Paul holds a Masters in Business Administration, is a Certified Financial Planner and a Fellow of the Financial Services Institute of Australasia. Paul has held a range of positions within the financial services sector, including various board and management positions, and continues to provide financial advice to a broad range of clients. 

 

Julie Raffe, MAICD F.FIN ACA FCAEW

Julie has 18 years experience at Village Roadshow, a publicly listed entertainment company (ASX: VRL). Julie is also an Alternate Director for Austereo Group Ltd, a publicly listed subsidiary of Village Roadshow. Apart from traditional CFO responsibilities, Ms Raffe retains financial oversight for Village Roadshow and all subsidiary companies, and is also responsible for the group human resources, risk assessment, tax compliance and technology functions. Before joining Village Roadshow she was an Audit Manager at Horwath & Horwath in Australia and the United Kingdom. Julie is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and is also a member of Financial Services Institute of Australasia (FINSIA).

 

Bill O'Neill, BCOM MCOM FCPA

Bill has over 40 years corporate finance experience. His previous roles include senior corporate finance positions at HSBC Investment Banking Group and Morgan Grenfell, and as a consultant to KPMG Corporate Finance. Mr O'Neill is a Fellow of CPA Australia and holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Masters of Commerce.
